What do we talk about when we talk about Artificial Intelligence?
Experts in various fields of artificial intelligence will offer insights into the current scope and challenges of these technologies. Starting with the simple question, "What do we mean when we talk about artificial intelligence?", these researchers will address everything from some of its practical applications to certain ethical considerations. Dr. Caleb Antonio Rascón Estebané is a Senior Researcher at UNAM (National Autonomous University of Mexico), developing the research line: Auditory Scene Analysis. This line aims to locate, separate, and classify sound sources in real time with minimal computational resources. He and the Golem Group won the Innovation Award at the RoboCup@Home Netherlands 2013 competition and served on its Executive Council. He earned his PhD in Information Systems from the Tokyo University of Electro-Communications. From there, he served as a liaison with the Mexico City Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, participating in the creation of the “ECOs Network of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation of Mexico City”. He is currently the Coordinator of the Nelson Mandela Chair of Human Rights in the Arts, attached to the UNAM Cultural Outreach Coordination, a collaborator of the UNAM University Program on Human Rights, and a member of the Technical Committee for Mental Health Care of the UNAM University Community.
