La inteligencia artificial (IA) ha revolucionado el mundo de la fotografía, transformándola en un dato para la creación de nuevas imágenes. Este taller práctico se enfoca en cómo entrenar a una IA generadora de imágenes para la producción de materiales como datos de entrenamiento. Reflexionaremos sobre el carácter de la imagen como dato, la disolución de la autoría, los modelos existentes de inteligencia artificial generativa y cómo se determinan sus contenidos y estéticas. El taller concluirá con el entrenamiento de una red neuronal generativa a partir de las imágenes creadas, sumergiéndonos en el emocionante mundo de la creatividad algorítmica, donde la colaboración entre humanos y máquinas da lugar a nuevas formas de expresión visual.

Diego Trujillo
Artist, researcher, and professor, he holds a master's degree in Design Interactions from the Royal College of Art (London) and a bachelor's degree in biology from the Faculty of Sciences at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He received the Young Creators grant from the National Fund for Culture and the Arts (FONCA), as well as an honorable mention in hybrid art at the Prix Ars Electronica for his piece This Tape Will Self-Destruct. He has exhibited in various museums and galleries around the world, including Science Gallery Dublin, LUX Pavillon in Mainz, the Saint Etienne Design Biennial, and the Piksel and 404 festivals. As a researcher, he has explored the use of digital technologies for self-representation and their applications in the dissemination of literary archives and musical performance in virtual environments. He received the award for best paper at the Cumulus 2023 conference for his research, Metaphysical instruments: Prototypes for hybrid and live music-making.
