Sound laboratories
Mexican composer Roberto Morales Manzanares presents the works Así o Más Claro and Resonancias Sistémicas, pieces that explore the negotiation between the gestures proposed by the composer-performer, who is presented as a virtual agent created using the programming environments: Escamol, SuperCollider, TouchDesigner, and Quartz Composer. These environments react in real time to reinterpret the gestures in audio and video. Interactive models created with real-time Variational Autocoder (VAE) for audio are also included. This Artificial Intelligence model is first trained with a standard VAE to learn the representation, and then adjusted with an adversarial generation objective to achieve high-quality audio synthesis.
